The Neuro Spice Shelf
A collective archive of neurodivergent voices.

What Is The Neuro Spice Shelf?
The Neuro Spice Shelf is a growing collective archive of neurodivergent lived experience.
It exists to gather the stories, reflections, observations and everyday moments that often go unseen behind labels, assumptions and stereotypes.
Some contributions are a few words. Others are longer reflections. Together they create a richer picture of neurodivergent life in all its complexity.
Every voice adds something to the shelf.

Your Voice Matters
Too often neurodivergent experiences are spoken about rather than listened to.
The Neuro Spice Shelf creates space for people to share their experiences in their own words, whether they are diagnosed, self-identified, exploring or simply making sense of their lives.
There is no right way to contribute.

Voices From The Shelf
The shelf is a growing collection of anonymous stories, reflections and lived experiences shared by neurodivergent people.
Each contribution adds another perspective, helping build a richer understanding of what it means to navigate the world in different ways.
Anonymous by Design
The Neuro Spice Shelf is designed to protect anonymity.
Submissions are collected without names and I do not know who has submitted individual responses.
This allows people to share experiences, reflections and stories without worrying about being identified, recognised or connected to what they have written.
The focus is not on who said it, but on creating a collective archive of lived experience.

Why This Matters
Too often neurodivergent experiences are reduced to labels, stereotypes or assumptions.
But there is no single neurodivergent experience.
Our experiences are shaped not only by ADHD, autism or other neurodivergence, but also by factors such as culture, ethnicity, gender, age, sexuality, faith, disability, family expectations, education and life experience.
The Neuro Spice Shelf exists to honour those differences and create space for the stories that sit beyond diagnostic labels.
By gathering lived experiences in one place, we begin to build a richer, more nuanced picture of what it means to be neurodivergent in the real world.
